Gives the agent four fixed tools to list products, create an order, pay it, and check it.
Vaulted Checkout
An agent pays in testnet USDC using a signer inside Basis Theory. A spend service authorizes each payment, and the signer enforces fixed rules before it signs.

What it is
Checks each payment against policy, keeps an attempt ledger, and seals what it approves.
Checks the seal and five fixed rules, then signs with the buyer wallet key held in its vault.
What the video shows
A research team's agent buys a paper from a merchant. The payment is a USDC transfer on the Base Sepolia test network. After one-time provisioning, the payment app never holds the wallet key.
The recorded run includes a refused payment to an unlisted payee and a confirmed 1.5 USDC settlement. Seven direct probes of the signer, such as an amount over the cap or a bad seal, were each refused as designed.
Test network only. The per-payment cap is not a company budget, and the build does not claim full compliance with any commerce specification. Source: github.com/schwentker/vaulted-checkout. Related: Spend Theater.
